LIFE AFTER SARGA TABLE 1
1. PRACTICE! As soon as possible, practice the techniques and routines learned in class. We recommend that practitioners deliver around 20 Sarga Bodywork sessions before offering this service to paying clients or adding Sarga Bodywork to your treatment menu.
2. PATIENCE. Be patient with yourself. You are learning an advanced massage technique. It will take a bit of time for these techniques to become easeful and natural.
3. PICTURES. One of the great things about Sarga Bodywork is that it is a visually stunning modality! Once you become comfortable with the techniques, take some pictures and video for your advertising media.
4. STAY POSTED! Stay connected with Sarga Bodywork teachers and alumni through Sarga Membership, our Sarga Graduates Facebook Page, through Instagram, our website, and our E-mail list. We post new course dates and locations and other developments through these venues. We love to hear from our graduates and hope to stay connected to support you and your practice.
5. COME BACK FOR MORE
If this class has left you hungry for more, join us in one of our other courses! See course descriptions below:
- SARGA FLOOR I (2 days / 12 CEUs): This introductory course is designed for entry-level practitioners with no barefoot massage experience, practitioners who intend to work exclusively with floor-based techniques and equipment, or graduates of our courses looking to refresh their skills. In this course, students will gain barefoot massage skills in both posterior and anterior applications, an understanding of Sarga Strap alignment and wrapping methods, and will be introduced to Sarga equipment and safety considerations for floor-based practices.
- SARGA FLOOR II (2 days / 12 CEUs, coming soon!): Designed for practitioners who work with floor-based techniques and equipment, this course picks up where SARGA FLOOR 1 left off and will introduce advanced anterior and side-body techniques. Upon completion of this 2 day course, students will be able to administer a 90-minute, full-body Sarga Bodywork treatment on our floor-based equipment.
- SARGA TABLE I (4 days / 24 CEUs): In this advanced course, students will gain barefoot massage skills in both posterior and anterior applications, an understanding of Sarga Strap alignment and wrapping methods, and will be introduced to Sarga equipment and safety considerations for raised massage tables. Upon completion of this 4-day course, students will be able to administer a 90-minute, full body Sarga Bodywork treatment. Note that all techniques learned in this course can be applied to bodywork on our floor-based equipment.
- SARGA TABLE II (2 days / 12 CEUs): In this advanced course, students will learn a new set of techniques to add to their existing Sarga Bodywork repertoire on raised massage tables. In addition, it will revisit some of the applications in our SARGA TABLE 1 course, but with more detail and attention to the nuances of proper technique and body mechanics.
- SARGA Rx, Level I (3 days / 18 CEUs): SARGA Rx is not a passive massage method, rather a more technical, client-active therapy that uses time-tested myofascial techniques and applies it to focused, barefoot bodywork. Sessions are performed on Sarga Bodywork's floor-based equipment with clients wearing elastic-type attire such as running shorts/sports bra for women and briefs/running shorts for men. Techniques taught in this class can be useful in rehab, Structural Integration, or Yoga Therapy settings. SARGA Rx is best suited for the technically-minded therapist with a floor-based practice.
